Middleware for ClixLogic and RangerMSP
ClixConnect is a middleware or intermediary software system composed of the ClixConnect portal and the ClixConnect downloadable executable program that will automatically install RangerMSP Web Interface in the servers and workstations of Clixlogic’s clients in order to gain access to the integrated systems and software of RangerMSP. It will be very beneficial to Clixlogic as it is less costly to install the ClixConnect rather than send an IT specialist in the client’s premise. It is also a time-saver software as there is no need to manually setup workstations based on the policies and protocols being followed by RangerMSP.
The ClixConnect system is divided into two major software. The first one is the main executable utility program that once downloaded by Clixlogic clients, it will automatically install and deploy RangerMSP. This utility program will be built on several versions according to supported Microsoft Windows operating systems versions and CPU-bit specifications so that it will work both on 32-bit and 64-bit computers.
Meanwhile, the other major part of the system is the online portal where clients will login and download the specific ClixConnect version according to their computer’s Microsoft Windows operating system version and CPU-bit architecture. The portal will implement several security measures to ensure that only registered clients of Clixlogic will be able to download ClixConnect. It will also utilize e-mail and short message service (SMS) text messaging systems in verifying and authenticating users.
